Lease Details and Documents

Akin Riverside Park 

There are 2 sets of rental boat slips at Akin Riverside Park:  Akin Boat Launch and Akin North.
The slips are located on the east bank of the Rum River. There are 20 rental slips are available at the Boat Launch and 9 slips are available at Akin North. 

The slips are separated from the public dock at the boat launch by a locking gate.  Akin North does not have a public dock area available, but there is a fishing pier nearby that is available for public use.

Empty slips are not available for day use even if no boat is moored. Residents of the City of Anoka may lease a slip at Akin Riverside Park for $1,900 per season. Non-residents may lease a slip for $2,600 per season. 

There is currently a waiting list for both of these slip locations for the 2026 season.  

Riverfront Park

There are a total of 4 slips available for lease at Riverfront Park on the Rum River (above the dam). Slips are attached to a public dock which has room for 4 boats; the rental slips are separated from the public day use docks by a locking gate. Slips at Riverfront Park rent for $900 per year.

There are currently 2 slips available for lease for the 2026 season. 

Rum River North

The slip system at Rum River North has room for 5 boats. These slips are located on the Rum River north of Bunker Lake Boulevard on the east bank. Slips are attached to a public dock, but separated by a locking gate. Slips at Rum River North rent for $1,100 per year.  If no slips are leased for the current year the dock system will not be installed. 

There are currently 2 slips available for lease for 2026. 


Additional Information

  • All applicable documents must be turned in and lease balances paid in full before boats can be moored in the rental slips. 
  • Please use only your assigned slip number even if there are open slips. 
  • Spring water levels dictate when the slips will be available to be installed. The boat slips are generally available from May 15 - October 15 water levels permitting.
