Recreation
As a river community, Anoka can include water sports like boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing to its other numerous opportunities. Trails, athletic fields, parks, open space, an outdoor aquatic center, and a senior center are all encompassed in Anoka’s park system.
For a city smaller less than 6 square miles, Anoka provides some unique recreation opportunities for its residents such as archery deer hunting, waterfowl hunting, groomed cross country ski trails and much more!
It continues to be the goal of the city to provide excellence in parks and recreation for generations to come.
